Raipur: The state government has issued a notice on Saturday i.e. today, March 7, 2020 and notice has been issued to cancel the allocation of Khanij Mining issued to Adani Enterprises at Bailadila in Dantewada. The state government has sent this notice to the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC). In the notice, NMDC has been asked by the state government that even after two years of the allocation of the mine, why did the mining work not start here? The previous BJP government has given this mine to the Adani group.
According to the information received, the Chhattisgarh government has sent a show-cause notice to NCL, a joint venture company between the state-owned National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation (CMDC), asking that why is the allocation of iron ore mine company in Dantewada in South Bastar not being canceled. Even after 2 years of allocation, mining work has not been started here. The mine was allocated in the year 2018 and the Adani Enterprises company was made the mine developer and operator (MDO). The Bharatiya Janata Party government had allocated this large iron ore mine to the Adani group just before the assembly elections.
After the government investigation, the forest clearance given by the state forest department for the mine is also being reconsidered, in which the consent of the gram sabha has been declared as zero. It is also being said that the show cause notice is also being given to the company by the Mining Department on this basis. A top Adani group official said that the matter was not related to the Gram Sabha consent dispute. The consent of the gram sabha was taken long before Adani Enterprises was made MDO in 2014. Then we have nothing to do with who did what.
