NEW DELHI: The Congress-led opposition is expected to disrupt both houses of Parliament's proceedings on Friday on accountr of the accusations made against the Adani Group by the research firm Hindenburg.
Because of this, the opposition parties halted the meeting on Thursday, and interruptions are probably going to continue, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.
Sources said, the Left parties, the Trinamool Congress, the DMK, and the Congress are all in agreement to begin loud protests against the government over the matter in both houses today as well.
The charges of fraud against one of India's largest corporations were the subject of a request for an investigation on Thursday from the opposition parties and the leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge.
In order to discuss tactics in Parliament, Kharge has also invited like-minded opposition parties to a meeting.
If everything goes as planned, the Lok Sabha should take up the motion of thanks on the President's address.
