Adani Power's board of directors appointed Shersingh B Khyalia's nomination as the company's chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from January 11, 2022 on Tuesday.

According to a Bombay Stock Exchange filing, the business's board of directors "considered and approved the appointment of Shersingh B Khyalia as a chief executive officer of the company with effect from January 11, 2022" during its meeting on January 11, 2022, the statement read.

Shersingh B Khyalia is not linked to any of the company's directors, according to the filing. Shersingh B Khyalia is a Chartered Accountant with over 32 years of expertise in the electricity industry, covering generation, transmission, and distribution. His knowledge in the power industry includes electricity trading, legal, regulatory, and commercial issues, as well as finance and accounting and PPA management.

Khyalia formerly worked for Gujarat Power Corporation as the managing director, where he gained experience in the renewable energy business, particularly in the building of super mega renewable parks.
