Adani, Total Energies to build world's first-ever green hydrogen ecosystem

AHMEDABAD: Adani, India's fastest-growing diversified company portfolio, and Total Energies, France's energy supermajor, have formed a new partnership to build the world's largest green hydrogen ecosystem. Total Energies will buy a 25% minority stake in Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL) from Adani Enterprises Ltd as part of this strategic agreement (AEL).

The new alliance, which is centred on green hydrogen, is likely to revolutionise India's and the world's energy landscapes. Both Adani and Total Energies are pioneers in the energy transformation and adoption of renewable energy, and this collaborative energy platform enhances both businesses' public ESG commitments.

ANIL's goal is to invest more than $50 billion in green hydrogen and its ecosystem over the next ten years. Before 2030, ANIL will create a green hydrogen production capacity of 1 million tonnes per year in the first phase.
