THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Since being taken over by the Adani Group, the Thiruvananthapuram international airport has seen numerous improvements. The latest installation of six e-gates with QR code scanners in the pre-Security Hold Area (SHA) of the airport's domestic and international terminals.

Passengers can use the e-gates to access the SHA after checking in by scanning their boarding pass.

Previously, the officials would just examine the boarding card before admitting the passengers, but going forward, it will be more faster and easier for them to enter, preventing long lines during rush hour. Another benefit is that these e-gates would make it easier for airlines to locate passengers inside the terminal and boost security.

The project is in keeping with Adani Group's goal to create a technologically cutting-edge environment that will provide a seamless, dependable, and paperless service experience.
