New Delhi: Today marks the death anniversary of former Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi. On this occasion, PM Narendra Modi and several Congress leaders remembered him and paid their tributes. Congress Parliamentary Party leader in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury also posted a tweet remembering the former leader of his party. However, his tweet started making Congress angry and he had to delete his tweet.

Rajiv Gandhi had said this at the time of the massacre of Sikhs after the assassination of his mother i.e. former PM Indira Gandhi. Now clarifying on the matter, Adhir Ranjan has said, "I have nothing to do with it. A malicious propaganda campaign is launched against me by the opposition.''

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "My father was a visionary leader whose policies helped shape modern India.
