New Delhi: Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury conveyed his condolences on the death of Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat in a chopper mishap on Wednesday.

We had a telephonic contact just four days ago." "The death of General Rawat cast a pall over the nation. Since hearing the news, all of our pleasant conversations and his courteous demeanor have been replaying in my memory. We have lost a great man, our country's first CDS. The Indian Air Force says General Bipin Rawat, his wife, and 11 other Armed Forces personnel died in a military helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday. "It has now been confirmed that Gen Bipin Rawat, Mrs Madhulika Rawat, and 11 other persons on board died in the sad mishap," the Indian Air Force (IAF) announced.
