Lucknow: The positive changes that have taken place on the law and order and functioning front in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath have led the state to continue to attract investment and businessmen. In the same vein, Aditya Birla Group has decided to invest Rs.700 crores in Gorakhpur.

CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday shared a newspaper news on Twitter and informed about it. According to it, Aditya Birla Group has got approval from the administration for setting up of industrial paint making units in Gorakhpur. The report says that the group had shown its willingness to invest in the state 8 months ago. Though it was not clear at that time how much investment would be made, it was decided to set up an industrial unit of paint. About 70 acres of land at Bhiti Rawat has been proposed by Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (Gida) for setting up the plant to the company.

The company's representatives had inspected the proposed land in February. The plant is estimated to provide employment to 2,000 people. The administration has decided that the company will not be charged the development fee of the land. The company will develop it at its own level. The company will need more water and electricity to set up a paint unit, which can also be easily completed in Gida.
