Aditya Thackeray, son of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, has reacted sharply to the ongoing controversy over the cutting of trees at Aarey Colony in Mumbai. He has said that if the central government is not worried about the forest of Aarey Colony, then it should not speak about saving the environment. In a series of tweets one by one, the Shiv Sena leader tried to target his own government. He said that 'Mumbai Police should look at Mumbaikars not as criminals but as environmental lovers. The ecosystem is being vandalized and people speaking out against it are being arrested. I appeal to the CM office to intervene in this matter and ensure that the police do not take any action against environmental lovers. '
It is to be noted that Aditya has made these tweets at a time when Uddhav Thackeray shared a joint press conference with Chief Minister Devendra Fandavis on Friday for an alliance in the assembly elections in Maharashtra. The very next day, Aditya has become an attacker on the BJP government. At the same time, Twitter users have given different reactions to Aditya's tweets. One user even dubbed him as a dramebazz. One user said, 'You live only half an hour away from Aarey Colony, if you had to protest, why didn't you come there?'
