Mumbai Indians (MI) bowling coach Zaheer Khan is not bothered about his routine at the moment. The ongoing pandemic has changed everyone's routine. Zaheer believes that it is only a matter of getting addicted. The new routine includes separation, bio-safe training camps, keeping hands clean, regularly viewing temperatures and a complete ban on the use of saliva on the ball.

Zaheer says that "The last thing in this protocol is the most difficult part. Referring to the Indian Premier League (IPL) which begins on September 19, he said, "I wouldn't say it would be so difficult, it's just a matter of getting accustomed to the new routine. The routine of preparations will change and you have to follow it". In addition, he also said, "We have to be vigilant that we don't use saliva because old habits for bowlers come in between. We have to take care of it".

Mumbai Indians (MI) have given each of their players a 'zip bag' in which they have to keep their training ball so that the health safety protocol can be followed. In a recent Twitter video message posted by Mumbai Indians, Zaheer said, "When you are a professional athlete, you have to find a way to create a mental state in which you want to live. It is different for everyone and it has to be replaced."
