The situation is such that there is a shortage of beds in the hospital. In such a situation, the Government has decided to set up a Covid Care Unit in a private hospital.  It is also being said that orders have been issued to identify private hospitals and set up covid wards there. But many private hospitals are ignoring the government's order. In such a situation, tests have been ordered against them.

Action against private hospital: It has been learned that in the same vein, amidst inspection of a private hospital in Darbhanga district of Bihar on Monday, it was found by the senior official of the district that a covid ward has not yet been commissioned in the hospital for treatment of corona infected people. Taking this seriously, sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act came against the hospital. P. C. Legal action, as well as clarifications, are being sought under Section 188 of the Act.

The administration issued these orders: As per the information received, a total of 16 private hospitals in the district have been identified as Covid Care Hospital. On April 17, 2021, senior officials of the district held a meeting with all these hospital operators and ordered them to keep 50% of the total beds available in the general, ICU, and ventilator ward available in their hospital safe after covid infected.

The hospital operators have been directed to admit and treat the covid infected persons on a priority basis by constructing a covid ward in the hospital. At the same time, different rates have also been fixed for different wards. In such a situation, action is being taken against the hospital operators who are not complying with this order.
