Delhi Government Instructed Sarvodaya Schools to admit students!

The Delhi government has recently given permission to 447 Sarvodaya schools under the Directorate of Education to provide admission to students in nursery and pre-nursery classes. There are 447 Sarvodaya schools under the Directorate of Education (DoE), out of which 404 schools run KG(pre-primary) classes. The department have instructed to start nursery classes in these schools and KG classes in the schools which do not have them.

As Per The Report

Saumya Gupta, Director DoE, has recently given instructions to the officials to find the total number of schools where these classes are being run as well as the name of the schools. She has also given the reasons for the schools as to why the classes were not run in these schools. After the identification of the schools, the estimates will be made by the executing agencies (PWD/DTTDC/DSIIDC) for renovation, restructuring and refurbishing of classrooms for Nursery/KG sections. The requirements will be given by SCERT.

Doe also instructed to designate the in charge with clearly defined duties and responsibilities for the proper functioning of the primary sections. The duties and responsibilities of both the teachers of each Nursery and KG class should be clearly given to make sure that the teaching staff is utilized to its maximum potential. The financial grant given for starting pre-primary classes is given Rs 1 Lakh which is to be increased as per the requirement. The planning branch will prepare an estimate and submit regarding this.

Also Delhi Government is working on increasing number of more vocational training centers in Delhi.
