Asian Football Confederation has suspended 4 Laos’s players being suspects of the match fixing. They will remain away from games for the next 60 days. Saynakhonevieng Phommapanya, Chintana Souksavath, Moukda Souksavath and Phatthana Syvilay are the Laos players having the charge. They have played in the first match of AFC Solidarity cup in Malaysia playing against Sri Lanka. The match has resulted from them a 2-1 wins over the opponents.

They were banned as their "ongoing participation provided a direct threat to the integrity of the competition," the AFC said. The governing body for Asian soccer said their ban was not only related to the Solidarity Cup but also to "suspect manipulation of multiple matches committed by the representative teams of Laos since 2010."

The investigation is being carried on the rest of the players. If the panel found more names involved then necessary action will also be taken against them as well. The investigation, in conjunction with the FIFA Integrity Unit and sports data provider Sport radar, is ongoing.
