In the  Group D encounter in the AFC Under -16 Championship Qualifiers at the Halchowk Stadium in Kathmandu, India held defending champions Iraq to a goalless draw which is the second consecutive draw. India finished their group engagements with five points from three matches. India has landed as the best second-placed team among the 10 groups.

Now the Indian team has to wait till other engagements in other groups to finish to find if they have made it to AFC U-16 Finals.While Iraq finished with 7 points from 3 matches have already made to the 2018 AFC U-16 Finals.

In the 6th minute, Bekey shot was saved by the  Iraqi goalkeeper.In the 42nd minute, Vikram made another robust move but Ricky shot straight to the rival Goalkeeper as both teams headed to the interval locked goalless.

In the first two encounters, the Indian boys begin their campaign with a 3-0 win over Palestine and had a 2-2 draw in front of Nepal.
