Kabul: The situation of many families in Afghanistan has become so bad that they have to sell their daughters to buy bread for two days. Abdul Malik's family is also among the same people who made a deal for their 9-year-old daughter Parwana Malik with a 55-year-old elder named Qurban, and when the white bearded-haired Qurban started taking her with him wearing a burqa, Abdul was only able to say this- 'Don't beat her... this is your bride.'

Parwana told the media that, 'My father sold me because we did not have roti, rice and flour to eat. So they sold me to the old man.' At the same time, Abbu Abdul Malik of Parwana says, 'I am very sad that I sold my daughter. I can't even sleep at nights.' Abdul told that he found employment in many places and borrowed money from relatives. Not only this, both the husband and the wife also begged outside the camp, but nothing worked, in the end, the daughter had to be sold because the rest of the family was suffering from hunger. Explaining his helplessness, Abdul says that, 'We were left with no other way. We have a family of 8 people. I had to sell my baby girl to keep the rest alive.'

Parwana's family has been living in Badghis in Afghan's Displacement Camp for the last 4 years. After working hard, they get only 2 pounds. But after selling the parwana he got 2 lakh Afghani. With this, his family will be able to eat for a few more months. Selling his baby girl, Abdul could only say to Qurban, 'This is your bride. Take care of her you are responsible for this. Please don't kill her.' At the same time, while leaving with Qurban, Parwana tried unsuccessfully to free herself by putting a foot on the door, but to no avail. She was taken away in a car. Abdul's father told that when he pleaded in front of Qurban, that doesn't kill his daughter, Qurban replied that 'I have given its money. I will do whatever I want. It doesn't make any sense to you.' Let us tell you that due to the conditions in Afghanistan, not only the Parwana, Rather, her 12-year-old sister was also sold a few months back. At the same time, the 10-year-old girl was dealt with by her family members to pay off their debt.
