New Delhi: After a short gap of two years, Bajaj Auto has relaunched the Pulsar 220F in India. The 2023 model is currently priced at Rs. 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom).

It is now priced more competitively with its siblings, the Pulsar F250 and the Pulsar RS200. While the F250 and the RS200 are packed with contemporary features, the 220F has a cult-like following.

After discontinuing the venerable Pulsar 220F in 2021, Bajaj Auto has given the title of "Fastest Indian Motorcycle" to the brand-new Pulsar F250. In the fifteen years that had passed since its initial arrival on our soil, the latter had gained a cult-like following.

The company decided to bring back the venerable model as a result of its huge popularity and growing demand. Will it hold up to its contemporary siblings?

The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F features a vertical dual-pod headlight setup, an upright windscreen, a semi-fairing with fairing-mounted mirrors and 17-inch alloy wheels, while remaining largely unchanged from the outgoing model.

It gets dual-channel ABS, disc brakes on both wheels, telescoping front forks and two Nitrox rear shock absorbers for safety. It is powered by a single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 220cc DTS-i engine with 20.11 horsepower and 18.55 pound-feet of torque.

The Bajaj Pulsar F250 gets a massive 14-litre fuel tank, side-mounted exhaust, arrowhead-shaped mirrors and an all-LED lighting setup. It also features a new steel-tubular frame.

The motorbike is equipped with safety features like disc brakes on both the wheels, dual-channel ABS, 37mm telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock unit. Its all-new 249cc, air- and oil-cooled, SOHC, DTS-i, single-cylinder engine produces 24.5 horsepower and 21.5 pound-feet of torque.

The RS200 is the top model in the Bajaj Pulsar line and features a perimeter-type frame, clip-on handlebar, upright windscreen and full-fairing. It also gets dual projector headlights with DRLs that resemble the eyebrows.

It gets dual-channel ABS, disc brakes on both the wheels, telescoping front forks and a rear monoshock system for rider safety. It is powered by a reliable 199.5cc, DTS-i, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with 24.2 hp and 18.7 Nm of torque.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F is priced at Rs. 1.37 lakh, Pulsar F250 ranging from Rs. 1.45 Lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh, and the Pulsar RS200 is priced at Rs. 1.71 lakh in India (all prices, ex-showroom).

In our opinion the Pulsar 220F was a revelation when it was launched. However, we recommend the contemporary Pulsar F250 in its current condition.
