Portugal's star striker Cristiano Ronaldo has also apologised for the outrage he showed after the 0-1 defeat of Manchester United to Everton in the Premier League. According to footage shared on social media, when Ronaldo was leaving Goodison Park on Saturday, he took a phone from a supporter's hand and threw it away.  

In a post on Instagram, Ronaldo said, "I apologize for my anger and if possible, I want to invite this supporter to watch a match at Old Trafford under fair play and spirit of play.''

Continuing his point, he said, "The kind of difficult moment we are facing, dealing with emotions is never going to be easy. Ronaldo said, "Nevertheless, we should always be respectful, restrained and set an example for the youngsters who love this beautiful game.''
