Hyderabad: On Friday, Fed up of being physically abused by her son, a mother decided to take the law in her hands and murdered her own son. It is being alleged that the 25-year-old son was killed by her mother after she was fed up with his drinking habits and constant physical abuse. The police arrested the accused. The case comes under the jurisdiction of the Banjara police station.

It is being alleged that the deceased was an alcohol addict and used to physically abuse his mother. The deceased was a daily wage labourer and used to stay with his mother. An alcoholic, the deceased used to ask his mother to give him money for alcohol and used to physically abuse her if she denied him the same. The deceased, Srinu had stopped going to work. There were constant fights between the two over money. The deceased used to physically abuse his mother for money. While talking to the Deccan Chronicle, N Kalinga Rao, police inspector of the Banjara Hills police station said that on Friday, the two had a spat, which prompted the accused to murder her son. 

The accused allegedly took the help of her son-in-law to commit the crime. The two accused used a sharp wooden stick and hit it on the head of the deceased. Following the attack, the deceased bled to death and lost his life. The police booked the accused under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. The dead body was sent to the Osmania General Hospital for autopsy. Further investigation is underway.
