Patna: After the political reversal in Bihar, CM Nitish Kumar formed a government with the Grand Alliance by moving away from the NDA and has also formed his cabinet. Five Muslim faces have been included in the cabinet, through which the exercise of catering to all Muslim belts from Seemanchal to Champaran and Mithilanchal has been done. It is being said that the Nitish-Tejashwi duo has laid a political foundation to completely eliminate Asaduddin Owaisi's Muslim politics in Bihar.

On Tuesday, a total of 31 leaders took oath as ministers in the Nitish cabinet. 5 Muslim faces have been given a place in the Grand Alliance government. Jama Khan has been made a minister from the JD(U), while the Rashtriya Janata Dal has given an opportunity to three Muslim MLAs, including Shamim Ahmed, Israel Mansoori and Shahnawaz Alam, to become ministers. At the same time, only one Muslim MLA Afaq Alam has been made a minister from the Congress.

Muslims constitute 16 per cent of Bihar's population and currently have 19 MLAs. In this sense, Muslims have got more than 16 per cent share in the cabinet in terms of population, but more than 25 per cent representation in terms of winning MLAs. In terms of the Muslim belt in Bihar, the highest population is in Seemanchal, due to which two Muslim ministers have been made there. One Muslim minister each has been made from Champaran-Mithilanchal-South Bihar. In this way, it has done an exercise to give a political message to all Muslim areas of Bihar.
