Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who made her mark from Bollywood to Hollywood, has been made chairperson of the Jio MAMI Film Festival on Tuesday. Earlier Deepika Padukone was the chairperson but resigned from the post 4 months ago. Priyanka Chopra has been nominated by the MAMI Board of Trustees which includes Nita Ambani, Anupama Chopra, Ajay Bijli, Anand Mahindra, Farhan Akhtar, Isha Ambani, Kabir Khan, Kiran Rao, Rana Daggubati, Riteish Deshmukh, Rohan Sippy, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Zoya Akhtar.

Priyanka is very happy to achieve this success and she is feeling proud. She said that she is going to enjoy working with powerhouse women and she is going to take the festival to a different level. The festival has done a great job with short movies in a very short span of time.

She further said, "We are now experiencing cinema and entertainment in a very different way. We have further spread the footprint of films. I have always been a great supporter of Indian cinema. We hope to create a strong platform in which we can show Indian films to the world. Our team is very happy with Priyanka joining it, said Isha Ambani, trustee of the board. We have to modify the strength of films better.
