New Delhi: After bycot of the Delhi Assembly on Friday following clashes over a resolution passed by the Aam Aadmi Party-led -government demanding the Bharat Ratna accorded to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi be withdrawn, AAP MLA Alka Lamba appeared openly and expressed worry on the decision.

"I didn't agree with the party line and because the decision has been taken, the party is on the backfoot... I didn't agree that that the Bharat Ratna should be taken back from Rajiv Gandhi. I will continue with my stand and am ready to face any consequences," Lamba was quoted by Times Now as saying.

She is the MLA from Chandni Chowk .She further said that party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked her to walk out. "Kejriwal has sought my resignation. I have won on a party ticket... resigning because Kejriwal wants me to," she stated.

Worth mention here the Delhi state assembly on Friday adopted a resolution demanding the withdrawn of the Bharat Ratna from former PM Rajiv Gandhi in the backdrop over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. But the Aam Aadmi Party  landed into the storm.

AAP talking head Saurabh Bharadwaj also clarified the decision as saying  the original resolution prepared by them had demanded to affirm 1984 riots as genocide creating a special law so that firm punishment can be  awarded to perpetrators and creating fast-track courts to try such dreadful crimes, as news agency ANI  reported.
