Following Google, Microsoft also stopped accepting new orders from Huawei Technologies after a Chinese manufacturer of telecommunications and smartphones was added to the blacklist of the US, preventing it from buying American technology. South China Morning Post reports.

According to the publication, the cooperation has been temporarily suspended in one of the main areas - the use of the Windows operating system for laptops and other content-related services.

Sources say the already installed OS on the Chinese company's products will continue to receive system updates and security updates.

Sources also noted that this does not necessarily indicate complete stop cooperation between companies, suspension of business may be temporary.

Neither Microsoft nor Huawei commented on the situation.

Recall: May 17 US President Donald Trump this month brought Huawei to the blacklist. This was preceded by the signing by the US head of state of a decree on the introduction of a state of emergency in the country to ensure the security of the country's information and communication infrastructure. After that,  Google and Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Xiling chip makers announced the suspension of cooperation with the Chinese company.

However, within a few days, the US Department of Commerce has temporarily weakened the restrictions imposed on the Chinese Huawei smartphone maker to simplify the transition period for those US companies that have contractual arrangements with the Chinese corporation.

Meanwhile, the founder of Chinese Huawei, Zhen Zhengfi, said his company would either increase its own chip supply or find other alternatives to maintain its leadership in the production of smartphones and 5G. Moreover, the Chinese giant is developing its own software.
