New Delhi: After joining BJP, party leader Aparna Yadav today took blessings from SP patron Mulayam Singh in Lucknow. It was only two days ago that Aparna Yadav joined the BJP in Delhi. This is being considered a major setback for the SP. BJP is said to be giving a ticket to Aparna Yadav from the Cantt seat in Lucknow. Because Aparna contested from there on an SP ticket in 2017. She was defeated by BJP candidate Rita Bahuguna Joshi at that time.

In fact, since the release of the election date in the State, there was talk that Aparna Yadav could join the BJP. Three days ago, SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that all is going well in the Samajwadi family. But two days ago, Aparna Yadav joined the BJP and gave a big political blow to Akhilesh Yadav. BJP managed to make a big dent in the Mulayam Singh family through Aparna. After joining BJP in Delhi, Aparna Yadav also met party national president JP Nadda.

After joining the BJP in Delhi, Aparna Yadav said, "I have always been influenced by Prime Minister Modi and the nation is the first for me. I have come to serve the nation and want the cooperation of everyone. Joining the BJP, Aparna praised Prime Minister Modi for his Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, women's schemes and employment campaigns. After joining the BJP, Aparna Yadav had described Chief Minister Yogi as her elder brother.
