According to the report, a minor girl, who was kidnapped from outside her aunt's house in Rewa district, was repeatedly raped for two days in a nearby forest and died at Sidhi district hospital on January 14.

According to the statement given by the minor victim, the rapist had poisoned her before leaving her in the hospital. According to the Rewa police, on the complaint of the victim's aunt, a case of kidnap was registered at Hanumanna police station on February 11, alleging that two persons in a jeep without a number had molested her niece.

The minor who was kidnapped came to her aunt's house on the day of the kidnap. The police were still investigating the case when a man named Anil Tiwari left the victim at the gate of the Sidhi district hospital late on the night of February 13. In her statement, the victim had said that Jivendra Singh and Abhayraj Yadav, both residents of Hatwa village, had kidnapped her and for two days, Jivendra Singh repeatedly raped her. The victim, in her statement to the police, had revealed that she was forcibly poisoned after threatening to approach the police. Twenty hours after the victim's death at Sidhi district hospital, the main culprit, Jivendra Singh, also consumed poison and was declared brought dead on arrival at the district hospital. The case is now being investigated by the police.
