Sachin Patel, a resident of Gauhani village in Pavanra police station area of Jaunpur district, was killed by his wife along with two persons. Police disclosed the incident and took the three accused, including his wife, into custody near Purupur canal on Wednesday. She was sent to jail after interrogation.
According to police, Gauhani resident Sachin Patel (28) was married to Suman, a resident of Sohansa village in Mungrabadpur police station area. Sachin came to his in-laws on May 26. He lost his life under suspicious circumstances here. Sachin's brother had lodged a complaint with the police station alleging murder. The post mortem report confirmed the strangulation.
After which the police started investigating various aspects and the role of the wife was found to be suspicious. When the pressure increased in the interrogation, Suman admitted to the murder. Mungrabadshahpur SO SP Singh said there was a dispute between the husband and wife. That is why the wife along with her cousin Santlal Verma resident Aspur Devsara Pratapgarh and nephew Gyan Prakash Patel strangled Sachin to death. The trio was on the run somewhere. On the information of the informer, he was arrested near Purupur canal on Wednesday evening.
