While the Modi-led government is spiky under the GDP growth estimates released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) yesterday, Senior Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram has stated that the latest figures show "economic reduce speed".

A day following the CSO aired GDP growth estimates data, P.Chidambaram made a statement as saying; The worst fears of a looming economic reduce speed have come true. Modi government's all claims of India growing at a tough growth rate have faded away in slender of air."

Chidambaram also said that the turn down in economic activity and growth means failure to provide millions of jobs.

Featuring out 10 severe conclusions from the CSO release, Chidambaram criticized the Modi government saying that the recent social dissatisfaction could be a direct manifestation of this economic slowdown, which the government was expediently hiding. It is the time the government stops making high claims and bends down to do firm work.

The former finance minister further worried as saying that in a double whammy, retail inflation climbed to a 15-month high of 4.88 percent in November and industrial output dawdled to a three-month low of 2.2 percent in October.

"Job creation remains the single biggest failure of this BJP government. In a slowdown, how will jobs be created? And how will the promised 2 crore jobs per year be created," Chidambaram raised questions.
