New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has once again attacked the Central government over petrol and diesel prices. Priyanka Gandhi has targeted Prime Minister Modi in her tweet. Priyanka wrote in a tweet, "Remember when you buy expensive petrol and diesel every day, the Modi government has earned Rs 23 lakh crore from taxes on petroleum products. Remember when you buy expensive oils and vegetables every day. In this government, the income of 97% of households has come down, but according to reports, Modiji's trillionaire friends earn Rs 1,000 crores every day.''

On Thursday itself, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi hit out at the Central government over the hike in petrol and diesel prices and alleged that it's a heinous joke with the people of the country. "The Central Government is having disgusting fun with our people. Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 35 paise per litre on Thursday, raising fuel prices across the country to a record high.''

Also, fuel prices have been increased for the second consecutive day. According to the price notification of government retail fuel vendors, the price of petrol has gone up to a record Rs 106.54 per litre in Delhi and Rs 112.44 per litre in Mumbai. Whereas in Mumbai, diesel is now available at Rs 103.26 per litre while in Delhi it is priced at Rs 95.27 per litre. Priyanka Gandhi had also tweeted- "Promised that people with Hawai chappals will travel by plane. But the BJP government has increased the price of petrol and diesel so much that now it is difficult to even for Hawai chappals and middle class to travel on the road."
