According to sources, Valimai 'was shot in Hyderabad where incidentally the bike chase scenes were canned and a specially designed animal was reserved for Ajith playing the role of a supercop. The actor fell so much in love with the bike that when the shooting completed and the team was returning home, he asked to cancel his flight ticket and decided to take a solo ride instead.

It is said that Ajith's assistants took off when he made the entire 650 km stretch from Hyderabad to Chennai. Directed by Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor, 'Valimai' is composed by Yuvana Shankar Raja with Huma Qureshi in the lead role. Shooting will resume after the coronavirus lockdown ends.
