Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh are scheduled to meet on Satluj-Yamuna Link (SYL) project on Tuesday. Along with the Chief Ministers of both states, Union Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will also be connected to the meeting through video conferencing.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, the Supreme Court of the country had asked the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Punjab to hold talks. In this, the apex court had also asked the central government to mediate. The Supreme Court has given 3 weeks time for talks. On Tuesday, the CMs of the two states will hold talks. The report of the conversation will be placed in the top court.

On behalf of the central government in the apex court, it has been said that both the state governments (Haryana government and Punjab government) are in touch and discussions are going on to resolve the issue. The top court had said that the matter should be resolved after taking four months. The Haryana government says that a fixed period should be fixed in this case. This matter continue for eternity.
