New Delhi [India], September 18 (NT): Echoing the same sentiments as asserted by Foreign Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj who has said that the Pakistani government has not yet agreed for communication to open the corridor of the holy Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib, on Tuesday  Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal also said the same.

“But the truth is, no Pakistani govt has so far communicated anything on this...Everyone forgot that he (Sidhu) went to an enemy nation. Weeks passed, but the Congress minister couldn't produce any document”, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal punctured the claims of Sidhu

She added, “When he (Sidhu) returned he was shown black flags, everyone was angry that he went there&hugged someone who kills our people. Instead of apologising, he played with people's sentiments...He said he hugged General as he said Kartarpur corridor will be opened.”

She wrote to EAM portraying that Pak govt gave a green signal over Kartarpur corridor and our govt is doing nothing from its side, but she was shocked when received letter from EAM stating there's nothing like that, Pak govt never communicated anything on this.

“No official communication from Pak over Kartarpur Sahib”, said EAM Sushma Swaraj

Sushma, while responding to the letter written by Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal,  answered "Dear I received your letter of 13 September 2018 regarding facilitating visits of the Indian pilgrims, including through a corridor, to the holy Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib located in Pakistan. The Government has been taking up the matter with Pakistan. However, Pakistan has so far neither agreed to include visits to Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib by the Indian pilgrims under the bilateral Protocol on visits to religious shrines of 1974 nor has it sent any official communication for establishing a corridor."

Sidhu's claimed on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak said that Pakistan is ready to open the corridor of Kartarpur Sahib. The former cricketer turned politician had also hailed this move as a kindness wave.
