Southampton: After a thrilling victory over Afghanistan, fast bowler Mohammad Shami says Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) advised him to go to Yorker in a hat-trick during India's exciting World Cup 2019 match against Afghanistan and he also thought about doing so.

More importantly, he has also become the second Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in the World Cup after Chetan Sharma. This hat-trick was achieved against New Zealand by Chetan Sharma in the 1987 World Cup. It is also the 10th hat-trick in the history of the 50 overs World Cup.

"The strategy was simple and he had to put up yorkers and even Mahi Bhai suggested the same to him and he says that he was going to have to do the same," fast bowler Shami said at a press conference after shaking four wickets in 10 overs. "Don't change anything now because you have a great chance to get a hat-trick.'" So I did what I told me," says India by 11 runs in yesterday's match.
