New Delhi: The outbreak of the omicron variant of corona in India is growing rapidly. The first case of omicron has also come to light from Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. According to reports, a 47-year-old man from Chennai has been found infected with the omicron variant. He had recently returned from a trip to Nigeria. State Health Minister Subramanian has informed that the first case of omicron has been reported in Tamil Nadu in which a 47-year-old man who returned from Nigeria has been found infected with corona. Earlier on Wednesday, cases of omicron have also been reported from West Bengal and Telangana.

Omicron cases in India, which are increasing day by day, have also added to the problem of the government. Recently, the first case of Omicron was also reported from Kerala after which now, today, that is 4 more new cases have come to light on Wednesday. After these cases, the total number of omicron cases in the State has now gone up to 5. In Telangana, two cases of the new corona variant Omicron have been detected in Hyderabad. A 24-year-old Kenyan national and a Somali national have been booked among the newly found Omicron patients in Hyderabad.

In addition, Maharashtra is also becoming a stronghold of Omicron. Here 4 more patients have been found to be infected with omicron, bringing the infected figure to 32. In view of the increasing cases of Omicron, the state government has issued orders for Christmas and New Year. Aslam Sheikh, Minister in the Government of Maharashtra has said that in view of the way the Omicron variant is growing, no major celebrations will be allowed on Christmas and New Year. He further said that the religious places which are open have been strictly instructed to follow the guidelines.
