Instant messaging app Signal has given its users the biggest gift ever. Signal's users can now easily change their registered mobile number without losing their chat history. Such a feature has already been provided in WhatsApp. Usually, whenever you change the registered mobile number of a messaging app, the chats of the first number end.
Signal has tweeted that users are being notified about the new update through notifications. Signal has said that its chats are end-to-end encrypted and the chats are not stored on any server. The new feature is going to be available with both Android and iOS apps. The new feature is available on v5.27.1 on the version of iOS on v5.30.6 on the version number of Android.
How to change the Number on the signal:-Â
Open the Signal app.
Click on the profile picture.
Now go to Settings and click on the change phone number option.
Now enter the old mobile number, then enter the new mobile number.
Now click on Continue and confirm.
Now follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
