New Delhi: After the announcement of Agneepath brought by the Central Government, there is an uproar all over the country. Many states of the country have been witnessing violent opposition to the scheme for the past few days. Railways and other government properties have also been damaged at many places. Meanwhile, many big corporate houses and veteran industrialists of the country have supported the central government's scheme. The latest name has been added to the list, that of Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran.  

Chandrasekaran not only praised the scheme, but also said that tata group companies will give priority to agniveers in the job after 4 years of military service. It may be recalled that before the tata sons chief, industrialists like Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka, Biocon Ltd Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Apollo Hospitals Group Joint Managing Director Sangeeta Reddy have praised the Agneepath scheme.  

Chandrasekaran said in a statement, "The Agneepath scheme is not only a great opportunity for the youth to serve in the armed forces of the country, but it will also provide highly disciplined and trained youth for the entire industry, including the Tata Group." We at the Tata Group are aware of the capabilities of all the Agniveers and welcome them to be given an opportunity in this regard. ' 

Preference for Agniveers in Mahindra Group also:-

Earlier, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra had expressed grief over the violent incidents taking place in the country over Agneepath. "I am saddened and disappointed by the kind of violence that is taking place after the announcement of the Agneepath scheme. Last year, when this scheme was being considered, I had said that the discipline and skills that agniveers will get will make the youth remarkably employable. Mahindra Group will provide such trained and capable youth with the opportunity to recruit (jobs) in our country. '

These industrialists also supported Agneepath:-

Goenka had also supported Agneepath while sharing Anand Mahindra's tweet. He had also announced to give job opportunities to Agniveers in his group of companies. Later, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Sangita Reddy had also supported the new scheme of military recruitment, saying that the scheme is going to make the youth disciplined and more employable.

So why is there opposition:-

Let us know that the Agneepath scheme was announced on June 14. Under this, youth are being given the opportunity to serve for 4 years in the three armed forces. Of these, 25 per cent will be made permanent in the army. This is the main reason for the opposition to this scheme in the country. Protesters say that after four years they will once again face the risk of being unemployed. However, the Ministry of Home Affairs, The Ministry of Defence have already announced 10 per cent reservation for agniveers in their recruitments. At the same time, the BJP-ruled governments of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Assam have already talked about recruiting Agniveers in the state police. But the Opposition is strongly opposing it. On the other hand, the Army has made it clear that whatever recruitments will be made now, they will be through the Agneepath scheme.
