'Agniveers will be given priority in UP Police jobs...', CM Yogi's big announcement

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government will give priority in jobs to the youth who have worked under the Agneepath scheme in the Indian Army. CM Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement in this regard on Wednesday. CM Yogi said that after serving in the Indian Army, agniveers will be given priority in up police and other services related to it. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had on Tuesday announced the recruitment of Agniveers in water, land and air force for four years.

Under the Agneepath scheme, youths in the age group of 17-and-a-half years to 21 years will be recruited in the three services. The recruitment will be for four years. 10th and 12th pass youth will be able to apply for it. The youths who are recruited under the Agneepath scheme will be called Agniveer. The service of these firemen will end after four years. If there is a vacancy in the army, some of these youths will be retained on the basis of merit.  

Now, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced to give priority to agniveers who are retiring from the army in the recruitments to be made in the state. CM Yogi tweeted, "These youths will be given priority in UP Police recruitment and other related services. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also decided to give priority to Agniveers in capf and Assam Rifles.
