Agra: Six miscreants committed a major robbery at the Manappuram gold loan company office in the Thana Kamala Nagar area of Tajnagari Agra on Saturday afternoon. The miscreants took the employees hostage and looted 17 kg of gold jewelry and Rs 5 lakh cash and fled. The employees informed the police after the miscreants left.

Police and officials rushed to the spot on receiving information. Police are investigating the incident. Where did the miscreants come from and where they have gone? CCTV cameras are being scanned to find out. Meanwhile, the daylight robbery in posh localities like Kamla Nagar has once again raised questions about the security arrangements. According to reports, the office of Manappuram Gold Loan Company is located in a building on Central Bank Road in the Thana Kamala Nagar area. There are many more shops in this building. Manappuram Gold's office is on the first floor. It is reported that six miscreants entered the office around 2 pm. They took the manager and staff hostage as soon as they entered.

All the miscreants had covered their faces. They had weapons in their hands. He threatened to kill the manager and staff and filled about 17 kg of gold jewelry and Rs 5 lakh cash in his bags. After that, they were easily confused. The value of 17 kg of gold jewelry looted is more than 8.25 crore rupees.
