Agra: The Agra police have arrested the members of the Hindu Mahasabha, who had announced to circumambulate the Taj Mahal on the third Monday of Sawan and perform Jal Abhishek. Even after this, some people behind the Taj Mahal corridor performed Jal Abhishek. So far, 18 people have been arrested in the case. On this, the leaders of the Hindu Mahasabha say that they have not committed any crime by performing Jal Abhishek. The manner in which the police have prevented them from performing Jal Abhishek is wrong.

It is being told that on the occasion of the third Monday of Sawan, the spokesperson of the Hindu Mahasabha, Sanjay Jat, had created a ruckus by announcing that he would perform Jal Abhishek behind the Taj Mahal corridor, after which the police took immediate action and arrested 18 people of the Hindu Mahasabha. On this, an activist of the Hindu Mahasabha said, "Tejo Mahalaya is a temple, we will continue to fight its battle. We had spoken to the captain, we had extended our schedule, but still, our people were arrested.'' According to another media report, the Hinduists were made to sit in the police station for several hours. The photo of their Aadhaar card was submitted to the state and released with a warning.

Avoiding the eyes of the police, on Monday, 15 to 18 workers reached the place where BSP supremo Mayawati wanted to build a corridor to offer water to the Taj Mahal. This place is between the Taj Mahal and the Fort. It is about 1 km away from the Taj Mahal. All of them started performing Jal Abhishek on seeing the Taj Mahal from a km away and started doing Jal Abhishek and started chanting Jai Shri Ram... Har Har Mahadev.
