New Delhi: The Modi government at the Centre has now accepted some of the demands of agitating farmers after withdrawing all the three agricultural laws. The Central Government has also decided to abolish the law which criminalises stubble burning in the fields by farmers. At the same time, PM Narendra Modi has given the green signal to set up a committee to make the Minimum Support Price (MSP) more transparent and effective.
According to the report, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that the process comes under the purview of the state specific court over the cases registered during the agitation. In this case, the State Governments will take a decision keeping in view the seriousness of the cases. He also said that PM Modi has withdrawn agricultural laws with great heart, so the agitation is of no importance now. Now, the farmers should also turn to their homes with a big heart.
According to media reports, Narendra Singh Tomar said, "After repealing all the three agricultural laws, I think there is no justification for the agitation. So, I would like to request the farmers' organisation and the farmers to end their agitation. Introduce the big mind and return to your homes with respect to the Prime Minister's announcement.
