New Delhi: On the completion of 91 years of Mahatma Gandhi's Salt Satyagraha, the Central Government has announced today to celebrate the 'Amrit Mahotsav of Independence' from 12 March 2021 to 15 August 2022. Now today Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started it at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.' Here he launched the website of Amrit Mahotsav. Now he is addressing this program. In his address here, he said, 'Today when I left Delhi in the morning, a very amazing coincidence happened. Before the commencement of Amrit Mahotsav, there was also amrit rains in the capital of the country and blessed by Varun Dev. It is a privilege that we are witnessing this historical period. We are seeing history being made at this place of Bapu.'

With this, he said here, 'Today is a sacred occasion for India as a nation. This Amrit Mahotsav is going to start simultaneously today in the land of the Cellular Jail Kakar Mooning, the land of freedom struggle, Jallianwala Bagh in Punjab, Kokori in Uttar Pradesh.'

He further said, 'I pay my respects at the feet of Bapu on this auspicious occasion. I bow to the leaders leading the freedom struggle of the country. I also salute the brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifices to protect the country. I also bow down at the feet of all the virtuous souls who have laid down every brick in the reconstruction of the country.' At this time, PM Modi's address is going on.
