Ahmedabad: Coronavirus infection cases in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat are increasing continuously. Meanwhile, the Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad has claimed that if the rate of doubling of patients in four days keeps going like this, by the end of May, there may be around 8 lakh patients of Corona in the city. Gujarat has recorded the highest number of 1,638 cases so far from Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vijay Nehra said in a video message that out of the total cases, 1,459 are still infected and 75 patients have died and 105 others have seen improvement in their health. Nehra said, 'Currently, the rate of doubling of cases in Ahmedabad in last four days, which means that the infection cases are doubling every four days. If this pace continues, we will have 50,000 cases by May 15 and about eight lakhs by May 31. '
10 new corona cases found in Bihar, total case reaches 238
Nehra said, 'Our aim is to reduce this rate and take it for eight days. This will be a very difficult task as few countries have achieved it.' He said that in the US and Europe, corona cases are doubling in four days and only South Korea has achieved the target of doubling the rate in 8 days.
