The entire case is being reported from Devgarh Baria in Gujarat. A 56-year-old woman living here had been suffering from a tumour for the past 18 years.

In this case, the woman's son said that the tumour was not as large in the beginning, but suddenly its size started increasing. At first, people thought that the woman's stomach must have been so bloated due to the problem of gas, however, after ultrasonography in the year 2004, it was found that there was a large tumour in the woman's stomach. After that, the doctors did not take the risk of surgery considering the medical condition of the woman. However, later, the size of the tumour more than doubled and the woman started to have constant pain due to it. She couldn't even get out of bed. Seeing all this, the family members went to Apollo Hospital in Gujarat, where doctors decided to perform surgery and remove the tumour. The tumour was removed from the woman's body after a 4-hour operation.

Doctors said, "The woman's surgery was really dangerous. Because such a large tumour had affected many of the woman's internal organs," they said, adding, "We could not weigh the patient before the surgery because she could not stand upright. She weighed 49 kg after the operation." According to a report, the 56-year-old woman had a benign tumour for the past 18 years, weighing 47 kg. The total weight of the removed tumours was about 54 kg by adding the tissue of the stomach skin and excess skin removed by the doctors during the operation.
