Asma Gulzar has been a shiny fixture in the fashion industry for the past two decades. The fashion mogul started her career in 2003 while studying from NIFT, and in her two-decade long career she has been a trendsetter- an unstoppable force in fashion. With her lush, luxurious traditional-inspired styles Asma Gulzar has garnered a celebrity clientele of A-Listers and international praise and recognition for her work as a couturier and an avid supporter of traditional artisans. Celebrities like Malaika Arora, Nushrat Barucha, Pooja Batra, Celina Jetli, and Debolina frequent Asma’s Aida Couture.

With every new collection she brings out in her label Aida Couture, there is a new spin to Indian styles and has made Indo-fusion designs her signature. Along the same lines, her new collection will be an Indo-Arabic inspired lineup. Asma always keeps her focus on artistic perfection when it comes to designing and brings the best of both worlds in a seamless symphony that has the appeal that today’s generation seeks in traditional clothes. Bringing ethic clothing in step with modern times is a feat in and of itself but to mesh two cultures' traditions on fabric and design it to be sophisticated and sensible is something only Asma Gulzar could do. Her work is available in her flagship Delhi store and in partner boutiques in Dubai - Cross Over India, Golden Needle, Vesime, and Aara, and Delhi - Ogaan, Gyans and Aza Fashion.

She has found success amongst celebrities and in society with her careful eye for fashion and has fearlessly moved forward. She says, “Fashion is very deeply integrated in our lives, it allows for us fashion designers to make art and also gives creative space to the wearers. I’ve always been clear about one thing when it comes to designing- have a cohesive vision but have enough opportunities that the client can make the clothes their own - with mix-matching, accessorising and more!”.

Her Indo-Arabic fusion designs have become a part of many wardrobes and are a fashion innovation that make a crossroad of today and yesterday - and give way for the future generations to stay connected to their roots all the while looking fashionable.
