New Delhi: Delhi AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria has said that it is necessary to wear masks and follow social distensing rules even after getting vaccinated. Randeep Guleria's statement comes after the US Central for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said people who have received both doses of vaccine need not wear masks.

Guleria said the virus is constantly changing and there is still uncertainty about how much the vaccine can protect people from constantly changing variants. U.S. CDC yesterday said that people who have received both doses of the vaccine need not wear masks. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris arrived in the Rose Garden of the White House without a mask after CDC announced it on Thursday.

Biden said in the meantime that I think it's a big success. It's a big day. This has been made possible by our success of vaccinating more and more Americans as soon as possible. Referring to the new guidelines of the CDC, Biden said that people who have taken both doses of the vaccine are at a very low risk of getting infected with Covid-19.
