New Delhi: Amidst the new strain of coronavirus that has entered India, Dr Randeep Guleria, director of AIIMS Delhi, said that getting the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine approved for use in Britain was a "big step" and also in India. No more days away.
Guleria told the media in an interview, "it is very good news that AstraZeneca has been approved for its vaccine by UK regulatory authorities." He has strong figures and the same vaccine is being made in India by the Serum Institute of India (SII). This is a big step not only for India but for many parts of the world. He said "This vaccine can be stored at 2-8 degree centigrade. Therefore it will be easy to store and transport. Instead of the minus 70-degree centigrade required in the Pfizer vaccine, it can be stored using a simple refrigerator. ”
He has stated, "We work as a vaccine for children and pregnant women as part of our universal immunization program." Using this platform to store the vaccine at 2 to 8-degree centigrade would make it easier for us to store the Covid-19 vaccine ”.
