New Delhi: The resident doctors Association of AIIMS, has supported the ongoing doctors' strike in West Bengal. In a press conference on the issue, General Secretary of AIIMS, Arun Pandey said, "I want to tell the kolkata doctors that unless your demand is met, we stand by you.
In this context, another General Secretary Rajiv Ranjan has said that today Awam is wondering why doctors have become furious. I want to question the leaders, bureaucrats and crores of patients of the country whether there is no cost to the lives and property of doctors. We are not the vote bank of any political party. He said, instead of listening to our problems, a woman CM thought it fit to calm her ego. Our friends were threatened to leave the hostel if they didn't return to work. Is there any cost to our lives and property? Why does the country not ask politicians?
The RDA demanded that we need a central law which provides for stringent punishment for those who attack a doctor. He said, "We have provided emergency services from 9 to 12 o'clock for patients who cannot stand up for our rights and we will complete all backlogs in the future." He said, from 12 noon today, we will halt all services except emergency ICU.
