Gwalior: A 25-year-old flying officer posted with the engineering branch at Maharajpura air base committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan in his hostel room in Gwalior. Police are investigating the case.  

Giving the same information, Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dandotia said that Flying Officer Jaidutt Singh allegedly hanged himself from a fan in his hostel room on Wednesday morning. They were posted at Maharajpura air base here. As soon as the news of the case was received, the police reached the hostel in the temple area of the shell and found the officer hanging from the fan in his room, he said, adding that no suicide note has been recovered.

Giving details of the case, police said flying officer Jaidutt Singh was a resident of Bhavnagar in Gujarat and was shifted to Gwalior in January. Dandotia said he was supposed to report to duty at 6 am, but he took the step before leaving for work. Jaidutt Singh was not yet married and lived in a hostel. He said the police have informed his family members about the case. Investigation is going on. The same incident has created a ruckus in the house of Jaidutt Singh.
