New Delhi: Air India pilots, who are bringing home the stranded Indians in different countries of the world under the Vande Bharat Mission, have expressed their displeasure with the Ministry of Civil Aviation regarding the calculation of salary. According to the report, the Ministry has written a letter to the management of Air India that the pilots should be given salary on the basis of the actual hour of their flight.
Talking to the media, a pilot said on condition of anonymity that the Air India management is making fun of him. This pilot has said that, "Till now the government has been telling us the COVID Warriors, we are being told that we are doing the best for the country, while on the other hand the treatment we are being treated is shameful." Another pilot told on the condition of anonymity that this government proposal discourages us, we want to tell the management not to treat us like used tissue paper.
In an internal letter on 4 June, the pilots' organization said that in the era of Corona epidemic, we are telling the government about our challenges and difficulties, it is very challenging for us to work mentally and physically. Many of our pilot corona are getting infected. We have demanded from the management that the allowance for the month of March be released to us as soon as possible, in addition to this some pilots who have not been able to meet the conditions should also be given relief.
