Taking after complaints by a few Indian carriers to aviation authorities against drunk travelers, Air India has put a limitation on the quantity of alcoholic beverages being served to its international flyers at airport lounges across the nation over. A notice was set up at the bar of Air India lounge for business class travelers at Delhi airport expressing it would restrict its alcohol service.

As per the notice, a most extreme of three 45ml pegs of hard beverages like whiskey, vodka and rum will be served. On account of wine, you can get a maximum of two glasses of 200ml and for flyers requesting the beer, the point of limit is three pints. Likewise, travelers flying on domestic flights won't be given any liquor at the lounges anymore.

While the rule has likewise been forced at Hyderabad and Mumbai airplane terminals, the Airports Authority of India is thinking about extending the lead to its lounges at global terminals in Chennai and Kolkata also.

This move comes after The Federation of Indian Airlines that incorporates carriers like IndiGo, Jet, Spice-Jet and GoAir had looked for the aviation regulator ban the sale of alcohol at flight terminals as they asserted it jeopardized the safety of different travelers.
