Air India, the country's national airline, has recently showcased its fresh uniforms for flight attendants and pilots, all meticulously designed by the renowned fashion maestro Manish Malhotra. The big reveal took place on December 12, injecting a sense of sophistication and glamour into the airline's overall look.

Chic Cabin Crew Attire
The female flight attendants will flaunt elegantly designed ombre sarees, showcasing intricate jharokha patterns and featuring the Vista, Air India's new logo icon. This modern yet traditional attire will be paired with blouses and blazers, giving a contemporary edge to the ensemble. Notably, the sarees are versatile and can be paired with comfortable pants, allowing the crew to express their personal style.

Diverse Color Choices:Senior female crew members will wear ombre sarees transitioning from aubergine to burgundy hues, matched with aubergine blazers. Meanwhile, junior female crew will sport sarees blending vibrant red to purple shades, complemented by red blazers, creating a distinctive and visually appealing appearance.
For the cockpit crew, Manish Malhotra crafted classic black double-breasted suits adorned with a print inspired by the Vista. The focus here is on a timeless and sophisticated look that resonates with the airline's professionalism.

Designer's Vision: Expressing his honor, Manish Malhotra shared his vision of encapsulating India's diverse culture and traditions with a modern and sophisticated touch. His aim is to showcase the grace and allure of Indian fashion on the global platform.

Alongside the uniforms, the designer curated footwear for the cabin crew. Female members will wear dual-tone block heels in black and burgundy, while male crew will opt for comfortable black brogues. Additionally, the uniforms include pearl earrings and sling bags for female cabin crew, adding finesse to the overall appearance.

While the cabin crew uniforms have been introduced, there is anticipation for the attire designed for Air India's ground staff, engineers, and security personnel, which are yet to be revealed.
Campbell Wilson, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Air India, expressed confidence in Manish Malhotra's innovative designs, believing they will chart an exciting new course for Air India's future. These uniforms perfectly align with the airline's new identity, service ethos, and its quest to set new standards in global aviation.

This unveiling marks a significant milestone in Air India's journey, blending tradition with modernity, and showcasing the country's style and grace at an altitude of 30,000 feet. The gradual introduction of these new uniforms will commence with the debut of Air India's first Airbus A350.
