New Delhi (India), June 13 (NT): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to lodge a fresh charge sheet against former finance minister P Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram in links with the latter's alleged participation in the Aircel-Maxis Case.

In an interview with ANI on the subject, BJP senior leader, Subramanian Swamy stated that the charge sheet should have been filed much earlier, but because of some officers in the ED who were trying to assist Chidambaram, the process got deferred.

He also said even a few ministers were helping him, but now the Prime Minister Modi has stopped all these. The CBI and the ED have been asked not to entertain any interference from anyone and take own decisions.

According to ANI After the charge sheet will be lodged against Karti, another will be issued against Chidambaram. Chidambaram will again have to appear before the ED, he keeps on lying but gets trapped.

It is noted that P. Chidambaram's son Karti was arrested on February 28 at the Chennai airport when he was returning from the United Kingdom, for his alleged involment in the case. At present, Karti is on bail too.

He is facing allegations in which he took service charges for getting the FIPB clearance to INX Media for getting funds from abroad worth Rs 305 crore in 2007 when his father was the finance minister in UPA regime.
